The winner of the new Emerging Tourism Leader Rosie Holiday, one of Fiji’s best known family-owned companies, has expressed its enthusiasm to be a part of this year’s Fijian Tourism Expo.

Rosie Holidays managing director, Tony Whitton, says the Fiji Tourism Expo is by far our most important forum for the year.

Mr Whitton said: “What makes FTE unique is after our meetings, we arrange three or five night programmes for selected participants to “experience Fiji with Rosie” as we share some unique resort stays, be immersed in our pristine environment to swim, dive, and share some authentic Fijian experiences.

We can’t do this at other travel fairs, where “you meet” and then “experience” the destination straight after.

As a result 100 per cent of all buyers that come to FTE will feature Fiji in their programs on their return.”

Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Matthew Stoeckel said: “The Fijian Tourism Expo is really the perfect way to showcase all that Fiji has to offer to international buyers and provides these buyers an opportunity to also experience Fiji first-hand through a famil.”

Also participating in FTE this year is Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort on the Coral Coast, who have been part of Tourism Fiji since it began way back in 2000 and this year is no different.

General Manager Peter Hopgood says he enjoys meeting people from all over the world and having the opportunity to tell some wonderful stories about the people of Fiji and Fiji in general. He adds after living in Fiji for eight years, he has become a very good storyteller and has many to share.

Mr Hopgood said: “FTE is essential for the Tourism Industry in Fiji.

It allows operators such as ourselves to showcase our products to buyers from all over the world.

In particular we find it extremely beneficial to get exposure in emerging markets.

It is not only our attendance at FTE but also the pre and post famils that are undertaken by our wholesale partners.”

The Fijian Tourism Expo 2018 will be held from April 10-12 at Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island.
