Human Resource Institute Awards to be Held June

The number of nominees for this year’s Fiji Human Resources Institute (FHRI) Awards is expected to significantly increase.
The FHRI 2018 awards were launched on Friday night in Nadi with more categories.
FHRI president Kameli Batiweti said the awards were expected to grow each year as the number of companies putting forward their nominees has increased.
Last year there were only two individual awards whereas this year it has been increased to four. The individual awards are human resource executive, human resource manager, human resource practitioner and human resource rising star.
There are two organisation Awards and these are Best Practitioner, which is based on Health, Safety and Well Being and Best Practitioner based on Learning and Development.
Mr Batiweti said nominations close on April 28 with the event to be held in Suva sometime in June.
Last year, 25 nominees were received for the different awards but that would be surpassed this year.
FHRI operations manager Sonam Krishneil said this year the awards would be held on its own.
“Last year we had the awards and the convention held at the same time but we have decided to separate both events this year.,” Mrs Krishneil said.
The launching of the awards was held at the Novotel Hotel in Nadi with over 20 companies represented there.
