Moksha Spa and Gazebo Cafe Opens

In 2017, Raja and Susanna Ramji decided to make a long-term investment in Fiji.
They built a day spa, Moksha Spa and Gazebo Café, on one of their properties.
Now they are open for business adding to the growing activities in the Maui Bay area on the Coral Coast.
Mr Ramji said: “My wife Susanna and I are from Brisbane, Australia.
“While visiting Fiji on a holiday in 2011, we fell in love with the natural beauty of the country and the friendly nature of the Fijian people.
“We bought a property in Maui Bay Estates, on the Coral Coast, and built our second home here in 2012.
“Since then we have enjoyed spending more and more time in Fiji, and have since acquired two more properties in Maui Bay adjacent to our home.
“About two weeks ago, we commenced initial operations at the Moksha Spa facility without fanfare on a low key.”
He said their main goal in this project are to encourage interest in wellness and nutrition as well as personal grooming.
This is to help improve quality of life among the neighbouring communities, and also to provide employment to about 15 local people.
He said it was equally important, Moksha Spa and Gazebo Café offer tourists a relaxing high calibre Spa therapies experience in this region, which is enjoying a good growth in tourism and gaining popularity for destination weddings.

About the Moksha Spa and Gazebo Café:
Mr Ramji said one of their goals was to build a world class day spa easily accessible to customers from local communities in Coral Coast – Nadroga area.
“We bought the property in late 2016 – levelled the ground in January 2017 and opened for business just a year later in January 2018.
“It was a record time accomplishment, in Fiji.
“We managed to assemble a very capable and dedicated core management team and well qualified and experienced staff.
“It is our Moksha Team’s total commitment and dedication that enabled us to complete the project in such a short time.
“We are proud to emphasise that Moksha Spa is a women empowerment enterprise.
“Most of our management and staff are well qualified ladies with experience and capability to run such a world class operation.
“No need to travel to Australia/NZ/Singapore to enjoy high quality spa treatments. “Also offer an associated café facility set up in a relaxed and naturally beautiful environment.
“Enjoy light meals/refreshments with fresh barista coffee and beverages.”
The Moksha Spa and Gazebo Café project investment was $1.5 million.
