Uluiyata’s Big Break

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s extended squad member Uluiyata Batinisavu has been called in as a replacement player for the Fiji Airways 7s team.
This was confirmed last night by Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor indicating that it was a request from head coach Gareth Baber as they still wait for the outcome of Alosio Naduva’s visa application.
Batinisavu flew out of the country on Saturday evening while Mesulame Kunavula has already joined the team.
The team are currently in Tucson, USA for a preparation camp before the fifth leg of the World Sevens Series in Las Vegas that gets underway this weekend.
The Las Vegas 7s will be played from March 2-4 at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Nevada and the Fiji Airways 7s team are in Pool A with Kenya, France and Russia.
