Ampex Isaac is in Fiji to gain experience at the 2018 Oceania Volleyball championship which is currently underway at the FMF National Gymnasium.

The 21 year old has accompanied his Tuvalu volleyball team to the weeklong competition and believes there is more to learn in Fiji.

“This is the first time for me to participate in bigger competition like this, I always participate in smaller club competition,” Isaac said.

“I know there is a lot to learn from this competition I’m also here to display some of my talents and learn from best volleyball players in Fiji.”

Isaac attended Dudley Intermediate School, joined Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Primary School then later moved to Suva Sangam College and Jai Narayan College.

“My long term plan is to continue playing volleyball and be a professional player in future.”

Tuvalu is the only overseas team in the competition. The visitors lost their second match against  Black Hawks 3-1 and will play Survivor in their playoff today.
