Lautoka players have been reminded of their roles as they prepare for their second game in the OFC Champions League against AS Venus at 12pm today.

The men in blue had a strong start against Madang on Sunday winning 3-1.

Lautoka Football president Abdul Kadar has reminded the team they should be good Fijian ambassadors and should make their country proud.

Kadar said the teams are still on celebration mood after the win on Sunday and reminded the players to stick to their game plan.

“When playing on the field they are ambassadors and they not just representing Lautoka they are representing ,” he said.

“The team is in high spirit after winning the first game and I have been reminded not to get too caught up in the win but focus on the next game.

“We do not know anything about the team we will up against so we have to stay focus and we are hoping for a win so that they can qualify for the quarterfinals.”

Kadar said they were overwhelmed by the immense support from the Fijian community in Auckland.

“The management is overwhelmed by the support from the Fijian community here who has been looking after players, providing everything that the boys need, especially from those players who once played for the Blues.”

Kadar also confirmed the team is injury free.
