Full Strength

Winger Alasio Naduva gets visa and joins team in Las Vegas .
The Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team will be back to full strength when elusive winger Alasio Naduva joins the side in Las Vegas today.
This was confirmed to SUNsports last night by Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor after Naduva received his visa from the American Embassy in Suva and caught a Fiji Airways flight to Los Angeles.
“All the players’ visa applications including Naduva were submitted together- well in advance but the other players got theirs while we had to wait for his (Naduva),” O’Connor said.
He said that Fiji Airways Fijian 7s head coach Gareth Baber has been notified. Baber wants to have a look at Naduva during their final training run before naming his 12-member team for the USA Sevens which gets underway at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, tomorrow.
Former Natabua High School 400 metres champion runner Batinisavu Uluiyata had earlier left for Las Vegas as a stand-by in case Naduva did not receive his visa on time.
On Monday, Naduva told SUNsports that despite the delay on his visa, he was still confident and looking forward to play for his country at the USA Sevens.
Naduva indicated he wanted to continue from where he had left off from the New Zealand Sevens in Hamilton.
The Naweni native from Cakaudrove scored three tries in the Cup final against South Africa where Fiji won 24-17 after trailing 5-17 at halftime. He later received the HSBC Player of the Final award.
