Letter Of The Week Winner

Just a decade ago yaqona sessions were enjoyable with the talanoa and joke sharing, sigidrigi and most of all having fun.

But nowadays the phones have taken away the fun of a yaqona session. The introduction of bluetooth speakers has made it worse.

You will notice the majority of the crowd will be glued to their phones no matter what happens. How can we counter this habit?

Even places without electricity they have portable power banks to keep them going.

I usually find these phone habits very inappropriate.

No eye contact, when on the phone you consume more yaqona, no respect and the burden falls on whoever is shouting the yaqona.

Tomasi BoGiniso will receive a Philips Dry Iron from Courts as our Letter of the Week winner (February Week 3). His letter was published on February 17, 2018.
