Tenders To Rebuild Koro School Will Be Recalled

Tenders will be recalled for the rebuilding of one school on Koro Island.
Attorney-General and Minister for Education Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum revealed this in Parliament yesterday. He said three schools on Koro were being built through an Australian Government programme while one school which was adopted by an individual had not progressed.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the person, who had adopted the school had not showed up with the resources needed and that Government would call for tenders to build the school and take on the rebuilding themselves.
He also said there was a lone tent in which 10 students were studying right now and there were temporary sheds for other classes.
And that the progress on the rebuilding of schools following TC Winston were going on well.
