Samoa A is in the country and is adamant for a positive contest against host Fiji Airways Fijian Warriors team ahead of the 2018 World Rugby Pacific Challenge which starts at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this Friday.

The Brian Lima coached side arrived into the country yesterday with an objective to turn the table to their favour says Auckland based hooker Gafatasi Su’a.

Su’a plays for Counties Manukau in the Mitre 10 Cup in New Zealand and is part of the four New Zealand based players with the likes of Howard Sililoto (Northland), Donald Brighouse (Otago), and Viliami Taulani.

“It is good and will be a good challenge for us and it has been long Samoa has not won in the past few years. We are here to put our stake and hope to win the championship,” Su’a said.

He will make his debut for his Samoan team in the PRC.

“This is my first game and looking forwards to it. Fiji will be a tough side obviously the razzel and dazzle they will throw the ball around. Hope we can match the Fijians,” he said.

“The boys have been prepared over months, but the overseas based had joined the team two weeks ago before coming to Fiji. The team is made up of all the local boys in Samoa.

“This is the first time to be coached by Brian Lima and he is a good coach and respected him as a player and now as a coach,” he said.
