Highlander’s Aims Bonus Point Victory

The Tomasi Sovilea-captained Tuva Highlanders team aims for a bonus point victory over Conua Chiefs in round two of the Nadroga Rugby Union Super 8 franchise competition at the Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka this Saturday.
The side defeated Sigatoka Bulls 24-15 in an epic battle in the first round last Saturday and hope to continue their stride with an objective to top their pool.
Coach Osea Navori said: “Our aim is to improve the quality of our games, there has been some mistakes and we will fix all those.”
“No team is weak but all have been preparing well for this competition. We expect the competition to gain more momentum.
The Highlanders are expected to field seasoned Nadroga XV reps such as Flying Fijian Ratunaisa Navuma, Aisea Natoga, Fiji Tuwawa Timoci Sauvoli, former national 7s rep Jiuta Lutumailagi, Josefa Nahalo, Sanaila Nahuto, and Tuiba Batiratu.
Meanwhile Kalivati Volavola skippered Cuvu Blues will continue to strengthen their attack against Wai Stormers.
The Blues had the services of Meli Neori, Tevita Tavuto and Ratu Meli Qaniuci who defeated Malomalo Sharks 27 – 11 in their first round.
Cuvu Blues manager Eapi Deku said, “We expect to win this week, we have some good players in the side and with the pool of players we have should do the job.”
Meanwhile Sigatoka Bulls are also undefeated and had services of Nadroga skipper Rupeni Nahiga, Sakiusa Gavidi, Setefano Samoca, Apete Salawaqavuka, Luke Salaba, and Samisoni Navatu will face Nokonoko-Waicoba Crusaders.

11.30am Crusaders – Bulls
1pm Hurricanes – Sharks
2.30pm Stormers – Blues
