Jitendra Prasad, 47 a farmer of Vunivutu in Labasa is the latest person to allege that National Federation Party MP was in a meeting that is subject of Police investigation over his alleged comments.

Mr Prasad claimed that the meeting where Mr Chand was allegedly present was at his home. He also alleged that the three people who had earlier alleged Mr Chand spoke at the meeting, Hemand Prasad, Sunita Devi and Subhash Chand, also attended the meeting.

Mr Prasad last night claimed he could not recall what was discussed as he was busy serving people tea, juice and yaqona.

While he could not recall the exact date of the meeting, he alleged it was during cane harvesting time last year.

He alleged that Mr Chand came to the meeting with some yaqona. The meeting, he claimed, started at around 7pm to 7.30 pm and ended before 10pm.

NFP leader Biman Prasad said an investigation was ongoing.

The lawyer for Mr Chand – Richard Naidu of Munro Leys –  has written to the Fiji  Sun claiming that Mr Chand did not make any such comments nor was present at the meeting.
