Midfielder Wallace Bali scored a hat-trick as Nadroga walloped Northland Tailevu 6-0 win in the Vodafone Senior League match at the Fiji FA Academy ground in Suva yesterday. And, the win has boosted the morale of the former premier league side in their endeavor to lift themselves out of the second division to play in next year’s Vodafone Premier League.

“This is the win that we were after and I’m proud of my players,” Nadroga president Mohammed Ali said.

“It was a good win for us and the players have played well. We lost two games in the competition and this win is a morale booster for us in order to qualify for the premier division next year.

“We are doing our best to qualify to the top division and we are taking our remaining games cautiously.

“This is just the first round and we can still bounce back and win the senior division.”

Nadroga led 1-0 at halftime after a Bali’s pile driver inside the box and in the second half, they continued the same momentum with goals coming from Bali who netted two after a good build up play by Ravi Singh, Tomasi Tuicakau and Semesa Tasere.

In the other Senior Division match, Lami pipped Tailevu/Naitasiri 1-0.
