Two villages at Udu Point in Cakaudrove received a fiberglass boat each from the Government as a project by the Prime Minister’s Office.

While handing the over the boats, the Divisional Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea said that this was in line with Government’s vision to make life easier and more accessible for people in rural areas.

The villagers of Yasaqa and Nagasauva had made the request directly to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama during his visit to Saqani, in Cakaudrove lastyear.

The boats are valued at $17,000 each.
