The Wardens Gold 7s rugby coach Sailosi Naiteqe, is hopeful they will defend the Martintar 7s tournament today.

They only team from Suva played a perfect game during the 5th Martintar 7s at Prince Charles Park, Nadi yesterday where they topped Pool A.

The will be facing Captain Cook Mosi One in the first elimination round today.

“We cannot predict anything now if we will retain the title or not because the other teams too are tough but we will take every match as our last, the former national 7s rep said,” Naiteqe said.

“The boys have been preparing well for the tournament and they are expected to give their best in every performance.”

Martintar 7s committee president Timoci Burotukula said the performance from every team had improved compared to last year. –
