Police hail netball reps, official

The Fiji Police Force gave cash to each of the four service women who are part of the Fijian netball team. The team will be leaving tomorrow for the Quads Series to prepare for the Commonwealth Games in April and later the World Cup qualifying games.
The players are Episake Kahatoka, Alisi Naqiri and Alesi Waqa- Paul while Ruci Nasemira will be the team official.
Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said it is another proud moment for the Force.
“On behalf of the force, we wish you all the best,” he said.
“Go with all our blessings and best wishes that you will play well. You are not only representing Fiji but also representing the Fiji Police Force.”
Qiliho also commended Fiji Airways Fijian 7s winger Eroni Sau who has been making waves in the 2017/18 World Sevens Series.
“I hope you will also make waves as well like Eroni with the way you play in your positions.”
He also applauded Inspector Nasemira for stepping up to hold the managerial role for the Fijian netball team.
Nasemira said: “This is an exposure for the girls. “This is not only about policing this is about engaging with the community as police officers, not only focusing on our roles as police officers but also as community officer and to serve our community and society as a whole.
“This is a very young and energetic team. They will need the support of the country, to boost the morale of the players.”
Commenting on Sau, she says, his performance had really motivated the women to where they are today as national reps.
