We Are All Leaders, Says Captain

Vodafone Fijian football captain Remuera Tekiate is honoured to take on the leadership role again.
Tekiate first got the captaincy job against Estonia in a friendly last year and to the Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
“The team has been preparing well,” the tough defender said.
“Having Roy (Krishna) in the team is a boost for us knowing his capability and he is going to give his best for the team.
“This will be my third time to captain Fiji and it is an honour to lead the team. I’m grateful to the boys for backing me up but at the end of the day we are all captains in the team.”
Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna said the team has a strategy in place.
“I have seen some games (Philippines) on You Tube and they are pretty small and sharp. It will suit us as a few of the boys are tall and we will go for our set pieces, looking for corners and free-kicks.”
The Fijians are ranked 168 in the FIFA world rankings while Philippines are ranked 122.
“We will not take away anything from them as they are above us (in ranking) but it will be a good match. Gamel knows our opposition well and our future looks bright and just cannot wait to be part of the boys. As usual I’m always looking forward to the match with my Fijian brothers,” said Krishna.
The 30-year-old sealed a move to Wellington Phoenix in January 2014.
Heading into his fifth season at the club, he’s made 74 appearances and scored 28 goals, and after hitting double figures for the first time last season, he will be looking to break Paul Ifill’s all-time goal scoring record for Phoenix this season.
