The Holy Cross Wairiki Parish team’s target is to learn more from the 2018 Fiji Bitter Marist 7s which kicks-off at ANZ Stadium, Suva, today.

Coach Vitoriano Vola said yesterday the players would bring their best in every game.

“We did our training in Navena and at Wairiki,” Vola said

He said the players are excited playing for the first time at the annual event.

“The boys are really happy and ready to play. Even though we played in tournaments like the Jezreel and the Fiji Bitter Wairiki tournaments, the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s is unique” he added

“The players are from Lavena, Qeleni, Naselesele, Tavuki, Buca and Delaivuna and they are here to represent the Holy Cross parish.”

He added the squad was selected during the Wairiki tournament last year.

Vola added that they appreciate the support from those in Taveuni and ex-scholars of Holy Cross College.

The Holy Cross Wairiki Team is in Pool 2 with Bumble Bee Duavata Young Brothers, Army Loggies and Southwest Brothers.
