Graduate Credits Family For Success

Anjalyne Prasad, of Sakoca, in Tamavua graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration yesterday.
The 36-year-old said she was currently working for the Water Authority of Fiji as a national team leader for customer accounts and customer services.
She completed her secondary education at Dayanand Anglo Vedic College (DAV) in 2000.
“I was working part-time in 2001. In 2002 I joined the Fiji National University and graduated with a Diploma in Business in Accounting in 2008.” Ms Prasad said.
She has three siblings and is the youngest. She has two older brothers and a sister.
“I have graduated because of the support from all family members,” Ms Prasad said.
“Credit for my success today goes to all my family members. Although my mum is not here … she died in 2004 of brain haemorrhage. She always encouraged us to study and work hard.”
She said she was the only one in the family who chose to continue studies and graduated.
“My mum and elder brother were always my inspirations as both of them are no more. He died in year 2016 because of heart failure at age of 40.’’
She said she went through a lot of hardships.
“Personal sacrifice has paid off,” Ms Prasad said.
“My elder sister was able to come and witness my graduation today with brother-in-law.”
