Mulomulo Boxing Club’s light middleweight slugger Ronald Naidu will again face Rakuro Daunivanana in the main bout of the Kiran’s Boxing Promotion at the Tilak High School, Lautoka on April 14.

An explosive encounter is expected after Daunivanana held Naidu to a draw in their last fight on Novermber 27, last year.

The boxers have signed to fight in the 66 kilogramme category.

“This will be a good fight,” Naidu said.

“Last year the fight ended in a draw and I’m going for a knockout win. I have been training for three weeks now. My opponent has a good ringcraft and he uses the full width of the ring, he moved and it really put me off, but that’s the game plan he uses.”

Naidu has won seven of his 11 professional fights since making his debut in September 2011. His last fight was a second round knockout win over former national amateur boxing rep Simeli Cagica. Naidu thanked his sponsors Mana Flyer and MRecht.

Daunivanana has a win and a draw from his three professional fights. He lost on points to Malakai Marama in August 2017 but bounced back to stop Charlie Sesefo in the first round.

His trainer/ manager Wahid Khan said they have been training well for the fight.

“It will be an upset again because I’ve a very clever boxer. We expect a good show against Ronald who is experienced.”

Promoter Ben Krishna said the programme has been sanctioned by the Boxing Commission of Fiji.
