The Vision Group, which has invested $30 million since acquiring the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa in Denarau, will hand over an additional 27 new room keys once villas are fully constructed.

At the end of 2017, the group handed over 56 more room keys to Hilton that brought the number of rooms at the resort up to 320 keys.

Vision Group, which owns the hotel, added the additional buildings and rooms due to the increased bookings they were receiving.

Vision Group is made up of RC Manubhai, Jack’s of Fiji, Challenge Engineering and Candle Investment Limited.

The $30 million investment included 56 keys, a gymnasium, Koro Adult Restaurant, the Vision Conference Centre, a spa and a new state-of-the-art building which includes offices, kitchen, a laundry, and a staff canteen.

Group chairman, Dilip Khatri, while confirming on Wednesday of the nearing completion of more villas with the 27 new keys said this would add to Hilton’s already huge popularity.

“Right now they are half finished or nearing completion,” Mr Khatri said.

Owners’ representative and Vision Cluster Manager Roneel Sharma said at present the Hilton has 320 room keys.

“When the new villas which are scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2018 are completed, the number of keys would increase to 347,” he said.

“These rooms are premium rooms with each room having its own plunge pool.

“The other unique aspect of the villas is that they have sea view on both sides of the villas.

Mr Sharma said Tadrai Resort, on Mana Island and which is also owned by the group, would also be having a makeover without confirming anymore details.

“The jungle on Vision’s property on Mana Island is where the American Survivor Series was filmed.”

Meanwhile Mr Khatri when asked if Vision was planning to take over more hotels or resorts said

“nothing yet but you never know with Vision.”
