Fireworks are expected when defending champions Lelean Memorial School take on John Wesley College in the 2018 Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Under-19 semifinal at Garvey Park, Tavua on Saturday.

The Sefanaia Bola skippered- LMS side are looking forward to a win and book a spot in the grand final the following week.

“We were too close in losing the quarterfinal but we pulled through and that shows how tough the competition is,” Bola said.

“We made a lot of mistakes but we will work harder and improve on our defence as well. We have a few days to fix all these before the game in Tavua.

“We no longer have the academy so we have only seven players that are 19-years- old and the rest are below the age of 18,” the Matailobau, Naitasiri native said.

Bola has donned the LMS jumper for the third consecutive year. He was part of last year’s winning team.

In the semifinal they are banking on winger Setareki Yabaki who came off the bench to score the winning try in their 6-4 win over Ba Provincial Freebird Institute in the quarterfinal in Nadi last Saturday.

Other players to look out for include Ragone Rara, Apenisa Soqonavere, Alipate Wainidilo, Samuela Bainikalou, Inoke Tabuarewa and Petero Ramatau.
