Former Ministry of Sugar employee Elizabeth Cokomata appeared in the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday charged with one count of general dishonesty causing a loss.
The accused allegedly falsified a receipt in 2016 and claimed accommodation allowance from the ministry with the intention of dishonesty obtaining a gain of $675.
Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) lawyer John Work then requested the Court if more time could be given for him to submit the second phase disclosures to the accused.
Cokomata was released on bail and is expected to reappear on July 31 when FICAC will submit the second phase disclosures.
