It’s all about change at this year’s Top Executives (TOPEX) Conference.

The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF) hosts the TOPEX annually.

It features top executives from both the private and public sector, with a range of international speakers that speak on key thematic areas.

The theme for TOPEX 2018 which was launched yesterday at the FCEF boardroom, is Change and Transition; Readiness and Resistance.

The Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will be the chief guest.

TOPEX 2018 chair Eseta Nadakuitavuki said:  “We would like to invite the chief executive officers from the private sector and also the public sector to come in and attend the conference.

“We are trying to take the conference this year to another notch.

“We have got an exciting programme and we would like to thank the sponsors in cash and in kind.

“We have got a good line-up of speakers: local and international speakers that will come to discuss and deliberate and of course it will come with an outcome for businesses in Fiji to move forward.”

FCEF chief executive officer Nesbitt Hazelman highlighted that Government is doing a lot reforms and the private sector too.

“We need to adapt and adopt to the various reforms that are taking place in terms of our business structure that’s why the emphasis is on change.  Change for the good.

He said most businesses are taking on board the incentives provided by Government.

“We are talking about corporate well being which is critical for businesses to survive in this country.

“We have a whole range of topics but mainly focusing on the aspect of change, resilience and with an attempt to effectively contribute to the Fijian economy.”

FCEF president Sandeep Chauhan highlighted thatFiji has been in the lime light for COP23 while FCEF has given the task to lead the private sector with climate change.

He said the Fiji Declaration is something we working on as well.

The conference will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa from June 22 to 23.

Registration is open now. The organisers are expecting 200 particpants
