Chiefs Declare Support For PM

Tailevu North chiefs Ratu Isaia Tuirakiwaimaro and Ratu Joeli Kalounivalu on Tuesday gave their support to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and the FijiFirst Government.
Speaking at Korovou town, Tailevu, the chiefs said that the Prime Minister and his Government had not only delivered to the people of Tailevu North, but to all Fijians.
Matacaucau chief Ratu Isaia said past leaders made false promises to his people.
He said he Prime Minister did not just make promises, but his Government had been carrying out developments that had benefited the people of Matacaucau and all
Fijians.
During a talanoa session he aired his concern about the Tailevu Technical College.
“The students have not started,” he said.
A Ministry of Education official said the students at the college had begun classes and that renovation work would start soon.
Navunisole chief Ratu Joeli said that Mr Bainimarama’s Government had carried out developments in his district.
“The people of Navunisole are benefiting from the developments the Government is doing in the district,” he said.
As a former soldier he has asked the Prime Minister for a house where the retired soldiers in the area could meet in Korovou.
Both chiefs said while voters would be using their rights to vote in the government they wanted to lead the country for the next five years, they wanted Mr Bainimarama to be voted in again because he cared for all Fijians.
