School marks Easter with drama

Students of Nadi Primary School put on a spirited performance as they Re-enacted the passion of Jesus Christ, yesterday.
The passion play is a drama representing the final period in the life of Jesus covering his entrance visit to Jerusalem and leading to his crucifixion on Mount Calvary.
The event also involved teachers, and parents of the school as they commemorate Easter to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Head teacher, Mala Singh was overwhelmed with the various presentations of items by the Christian and non-Christian students.
“It was indeed a pleasure to see students, parents and teachers united to observe this,” she said.
Also present to mark the event were members of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) who catered for the students.
“I thank all the teachers and parents for their support. May all have a safe and blessed Easter,” Mrs Singh said.
According to Wikipedia, Easter, also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans on Calvary in 30 AD.
