FMA Endorses New Constitution

Bula fellow car enthusiasts and welcome to another week of safe driving!
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
We had a very successful Annual General Meeting last Sunday where we had discussed in length the activities of the Fiji Motorsports Association.
We were very happy with the response this year from the members present.
Most importantly we endorsed the new constitution for Fiji Motorsports Association.
We have also made new changes regarding the 10 second cars rule that had to be equipped with parachute and roll gauge.
The new rule is if a person has previously done 10 seconds his/her car will be now be allowed to run without a roll gauge and parachute.
The rule will now only imply for drivers who do not do 10 seconds.
So basically what it means is if you had done 10 seconds before, you can still come in and take part in the next event, but if you continue doing ten seconds we will ask you to install a parachute and roll gauge after that event.
The Fiji Motorsports Association executives have been targeting eight Pacific Energy quarter mile drag races this year.
We will be releasing the year planner very soon.
We had also discussed in length a new race track for the Fiji Motorsports Association.
The executives are working very hard in securing a piece land to build our own race track.
We are also requesting members of the public to help us look for a piece of land of about 15 to 20 acres in size.
As announced earlier we will not be holding our Pacific Energy drag race tomorrow as there are a lot of flights coming in and out of the Nanuku airstrip.
This is because of the Easter holiday with a lot of tourist movement over the weekend which saw quite a few of them booking flights to the area.
