Defending champions Ba is on track af­ter recording another victory in pool play beating Nasinu 2-0 at the 91st TIV Sangam IDC at the Lawaqa Park in Si­gatoka yesterday.

Goals came from Shamil Rao and Vilitati Kautoga

The side defeated host Nadroga 2-0 in their pool opener on day one with goals from Ba football coach Roneel Kumar and Vilitati Kautoga

The ‘Men in Black’ also includes national reps Junior Naren Rao, Kishan Sami and for­mer Fiji U20 goalkeepr Shaneel Naidu,

Ba proved too strong and walloped Solovi (Nadi) 5-1

“We started well and we are confident to come out on top as champions.

“Our aim is to return to Ba with the title,”Ba coach Sailesh Mani said.

Other teams such as Malolo had the servic­es of national rep Krishan Sami, Zainal Ali and Richard Naidu

Nadi has Avinesh Warran Sumany, Rahul Krishna, former Roneel Chetty.

Rifle Range is boosted by Suva rep Kelvin Naidu and Don Raj.

TIV Sangam sports chairman Mun Chetty said the four-day tournament attracted 64 teams.

“A total of 118 matches be played before the semi-finals, and we are anticipating a great finish despite the weather.”

Meanwhile, for the first time the inaugural Home and Living sponsored TISI Sangam Fiji charity golf will be played at the Nat­adola Bay Championship Golf Course today.

A total of 120 golfers have been registered to take part.
