All Is Well: Bower

Chef de mission Patrick Bower has confirmed that Team Fiji athletes are all fit and fine at the Games Village.

He made the comment after some athletes from other countries were reported to be sick due to a virus at the Games Village.

“No one in the village has been affected. We were warned about the virus during the morning meeting but there is nothing major that we have to worry about,” Bower said.

Team Fiji head of medical Dr Jone Nasome has given the all clear.

“Dr Nasome has done the checks and has informed us that athletes are well.

“But we will take precautionary measures since the warning has been issued.”
