Year 7 student of Yat Sen Primary School Calum Fong was happy that his model was displayed on Tuesday at the launch of the Virtual Reality film production “Our Home, Our Hope” at the Suva’s Carnegie Library.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was chief guest at the launch.

Calum told the Fiji Sun that he did not expect his model to be displayed at the library.

He was happy the Prime Minister took the time to have a look at it. According to Calum his model had been displayed at his school.

“I was told by my teacher that it will be displayed for the Prime Minister to see,” he said.

When the time came, Calum composed himself to explain his model to the Prime Minister. Calum said the model was on pollution.

Mr Bainimarama, in his keynote address at the launch, said he appreciated the participation in yesterday’s event of the students and teachers from Saint Anne’s Primary, Lami Primary and Yat Sen Primary schools.

He said they were showcasing the models they had produced as part of their own studies on climate change.
