Tailevu and Naitasiri chiefs are happy with the performance of the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama-led FijiFirst Government.

Bau chief from Tailevu Ratu George Kadavulevu Cakobau (Junior) said: “The Prime Minister is doing a good job for the people. I would like to see him and his Government re-elected to continue leading the country.”

He said Mr Bainimarama was different from past leaders because he was not afraid to carry out developments.

“In some areas when he sees something bad he fixes it,” Ratu George said.

He said there was no discrimination in the developments and described the PM as a man of the people.

Ratu Sevanaia Verata from Ucunivanua, Verata, Tailevu, said people no longer waited for what they wanted with the current Government. He said they were still waiting for some promises made to them by past governments.

“Past leaders make false promises but not Bainimarama,” he said.

Ratu Sevanaia said they had made requests to past governments to fix water problems in the Verata district. This government, he said, had supplied tanks to villages.

“At Ucunivanua we’re working with the Water Authority of Fiji to fix our water problem,” he said.

“Through this government we have had easy access to education, health and electricity.

“I would like to see Mr Bainimarama and his Government to continue leading the country,” he said.

Naitasiri chief Taukei Waima Ratu Timoci Rokobukete said his people had benefited from Government developments in Naitasiri.

He said the elders had been forgotten by past governments.

“Now they’re given a monthly allowance to help them buy their food,” he said.

Mr Bainimarama is a caring Prime Minister and the Government cares for all Fijians.

“They’re performing well,” he said.

Past governments, he said, had discriminatory policies but not the FijiFirst Government.

“The people of Waima would like Mr Bainimarama and his government voted in this coming election to lead the country again,” he said.

Matacaucau chief Ratu Isaia Tuirakiwaimaro applauded the performance of the Government.

He said all Fijians were included in the developments carried out.

“No one has been left out,” he said.

He said the people of Matacaucau were happy with what they were getting and would want the FijiFirst Government to continue leading the nation.
