“If given a chance I’m ready to take-up the vacant position,” Patel who is also OFC vice-president told SUNsports yesterday.
“He had his personal reasons and he decided after considering his health problems and other issues so he could not continue and decided to step down. And if the executive committee feels that yes, I can do the job and they have confidence in me then I will definitely take up the position.”
Chung has been at the helm of OFC since 2011 and took the decision after much deliberation.
Meanwhile, the OFC executive committee members are to meet tomorrow to discuss the matter and also make an appointment for the top job.
