Fijiana Fired Up

The Team Fiji men’s 7s rugby team have been a morale booster for the Fijian women’s side ahead of tonight’s matches at the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the Robina Stadium.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, team captain Ana Maria Roqica said they have been overwhelmed with the support they have been getting from the Gareth Baber coached- side.
“We want to thank the 7s boys for always encouraging us, as they are always supporting us.” Roqica said.
The Iliesa Tanivula-coached side play England in their opening match today at 7:15pm (Fijian time), Wales at 9:55pm and Australia at 9:21pm on Saturday.
“The players have been working hard as this will not be an easy battle.
“It will be tough but we are prepared for the challenge especially our first game against England.
“It will be a tough game but I believe in these girls. We did not do well in the World Sevens Series in Sydney but we have learnt from our mistakes and we will move on. These girls have been sacrificing a lot.
“We have been working on our defence and attacking structures. We are all looking forward to our first game. We will do well.”
