The Northland rugby team aim to win their spot back in the Skipper Cup Premiership next year.

Northland and Macuata will play in the Vodafone Vanua Challenge which starts next week after being demoted last year.

Team manager Joeli Rabuli said preparations are going well.

“We have been preparing for weeks blooding in new players to represent Northland,” Rabuli said

“We are giving all our best this year after being demoted to the Vanua Challenge last year.

“We want to win our Skipper Cup spot back in 2019.”

There are 50 players training at the Forces Training Group in Nasinu. The team play Nasinu in their opening game next Saturday.
