Five Lelean Memorial School Under-19 players involved in a brawl during the semifinal have been given the green light to play in today’s Vodafone Secondary Schools Rugby League final at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The incident happened last Saturday where defending champions LMS edged out John Wesley College 10-6.

While speaking to SUNsports, FSSRL president Iosefo Volau confirmed the players were eligible to play. He added that in future if such incident was to happen again players would be completed banned for a season.

“The disciplinary committee has decided for the final that will be held tomorrow (today), if any of the reserves or players get up or leave the bench without any authority will be suspended from any competition.

“We can confirm that all five players will be able to play for the game and we hope such incident does not happen again.”

Today’s Fixtures
