Last month police recovered more than $16 million worth of marijuana from all over the country.
This was confirmed by Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho to the Fiji Sun.
The haul was part of the second phase of Operation Cavuraka, which started on March 1 and focused on the drug trade and enforcement.
According to earlier reports, in the first three weeks of the operation Police officers seized 5406 marijuana plants, 146 branches, 572 sachets, 416 parcels.
A quantity of hard drugs was also seized.
However, Brig-Gen Qiliho said, they collated information on the overall operation and results would be released soon.
