Brothers Ready

Mudaliar brothers Krishneel, Krishna and Sachin are looking forward to their upcoming fights against Vanuatu boxers set for May 5 at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.
Krishna who is currently the country’s featherweight champion takes on Fred Nasep while Sachin faces Remy Amo. Krishneel who holds the Fijian bantamweight title fights Roy Ser.
All these bouts are undercards to the main bout where Joseph Kwadjo takes on classy Jacobus Kali.
Last Saturday, Krishna escaped with a draw against southpaw Franco Frasier of Lautoka.
“The fight was good, Franco was a tough opponent and actually I had wanted a win but it didn’t go the way I had wanted,” he told SUNsports.
“Hopefully I will get a rematch but for now I have another fight next month and will have to hit the drawing board as it will be an international fight.”
Frasier said he had trained for two weeks for the fight.
“I’m not making it an excuse. God knows what I had gone through and I’m ready for another shot just for the love of boxing.”
Sachin extended his winning record with a points win over veteran Ritesh Goundar.
“The fight was good and Ritesh is very experienced.
“So I kept my jab firing and kept moving around to score points. I wanted to keep my unbeaten record. I dedicate this win to my three-week old daughter and family.”
