Former Vodafone Fijian Bati and Australian Kangaroo Petero Civoniceva is among the four new directors of the Fiji National Rugby League.

The others are Yatu Lau Arcade property general manager Tomi Finau, Water Authority of Fiji technician Mesake Navugona and businessman Culden Kamea.

They were elected during the FNRL annual general meeting at the Nasova Police Barracks in Suva.

FNRL chief executive officer Timoci Naleba was happy with the inclusion of the new directors.

“We will be addressing a few things during a special general meeting particularly the article of association to have it changed so we can accommodate the change that we want,” he said.

“With the election of the new board, I am sure that will suit the preferences of our members.”

National Rugby League head of football Brian Canavan was happy with the discussion.

“We want to work with the FNRL for the betterment of the sport,” Canavan said.

“We want to upgrade the reserve grade and the women’s competitions.”

The other directors are Filimoni Vosarogo, Maika Vunivere, Esala Ratuva, Jonetani Nasau, Simon Lomaloma and PeniMusunamasi.
