Today will be a double celebration for new Fiji Corrections Service recruit, Ronald Romit Singh, 22.
Yesterday, he took part in a passing-out parade and today he will be graduating from the Fiji National University (FNU) with a Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
Speaking yesterday after the passing-out parade, Mr Singh said: “I’m really happy that I have passed-out today and tomorrow I’ll be graduating at Fiji National University with a Certificate in Electrical Engineering.”
Mr Singh said they went through 14 weeks of academic, spiritual and rigorous physical training and was glad he had completed it.
“The training was tough and challenging,” he said.
“But I never gave up while some of the other recruits left because they could not cope with the training.”
Mr Singh said he would cherish the many relationship he established during their training.
