New Speed Boats For South Sea Cruises

South Sea Cruises has recently added two new speed boats to its fleet of seven ferries operating from Port Denarau, Nadi.
The ferries are used to transfer visitors to resorts in the Mamanuca and Yasawa Island groups.
Marine operations manager, Thomas Moceacagi said the new speed boats were made in Dubai with a cost of around US$20,000 (FJ$41,500) each.
FinTastic and Off the Hook will specifically transfer tourists from Port Denarau in Nadi to the new Six Senses Resort on Malolo Island. Each speed boat can accommodated 24 people.
“The speed boats will be manned by South Seas Cruises but the schedules will be done by Six Senses,” Mr Moceacagi said.
“Its operations on a daily basis will depend on the number of guests.
“Guests will be taken directly from Port Denarau to Six Senses in half an hour,” Mr Moceacagi said.
“The boats are very comfortable, there is space where tourists can prepare their snacks and a cooler where they can store drinks,” Mr Moceacagi said.
“The unique thing about this speed boat is that it has a built-in rest room for passengers to use. This is something that isn’t seen on speed boats.”
He said the introduction of the two new speed boats would boost the services provided by South Seas Cruises.
