Students attending schools damaged by Tropical Cyclone Keni in Kadavu will be provided temporary shelter by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

Cate Heinrich, chief communications UNICEF Pacific, said they were supporting the Tropical Cyclone Keni response with 44 tents. This provides 1680 children with a temporary school shelter.

National Disaster Managment Office Director Anare Leweniqila said the tents will arrive in Kadavu on Saturday. They will be distributed at Kavala and Vunisea, Mr Leweniqila said.
