Fiji’s undefeated middleweight boxer Siliveni Nawai is hoping for a better finish against Ulaiasi Qalomai in the 8 x 3 minute bout at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi this Saturday.

The two will fight under the Best Boxing Promotions which also features Fiji and Va­nuatu boxers.

The Tubenasolo, Nawaka, Nadi native said that he wants to end the fight early.

“I want to end the fight early,” he said.

“I respect veteran Qalomai but I’ve a mis­sion to complete.”

Nawai, also known as ‘Hands of Stone’ has won his 10 bouts since his professional de­but in 2011 against Kunal Nair.

He has defeated Osea Nakanacagi (twice), Jese Ravudi Jnr, Pita Tabuarua, Nereo Cakautini, Wahid Khan and Meli Vutevute.

On the other hand, his opponent Qalomai, 45, a super welterweight boxer has 10 bouts under his belt too since his debut win over Dharam Raj Pillay in 2004.

Since then Qalomai has recorded six wins, lost three on KOs and a draw.

Tickets are on sale at the Cake World Nadi and Lautoka.
