Galaxy Hotel and Apartments will sponsor the Labasa football team at the Vodafone Fijian FACT later this month.

Labasa Football secretary Varun Anand received the $10,000 cheque at Galaxy Hotel and Apartments yesterday.

Anand said the sponsorship would assist the team in their preparations.

“We would like to thank the owner of Galaxy Hotel and Apartments Rohinil Chand for his assistance,” Anand said.

“He is from Labasa and had previously assisted the team on a few occasions.”

Meanwhile, Chand wishes the team all the best.

“I’m a die-hard Babasiga Lions fan and I’m grateful to help and support our home team,”he said.

“I am also the sponsor of Labasa team participating in the Vodafone Premier League.

“I would like to urge all Labasa fans to come out and support the team.”

The Vodafone Fiji FACT will be held on May 25-27 at Ratu Cakobau Park,  Nausori.

Rewa is in Pool A with Ba, Labasa and Dreketi while in the second Pool sees Nadi, Lautoka, Suva and Tavua.

Fixtures: Friday 25 May1.30pm Nadi-Tavua (Group B); 3.30pm Official Opening; 4pm Labasa vs. Dreketi (Group A); 6pm Suva vs. Lautoka (Group B);  8pm Rewa vs. Ba (Group A).

Saturday: 12pm Suva-Tavua (Group B); 2pm Dreketi vs. Rewa (Group A); 4pm Lautoka- Nadi (Group B)

6pm Ba- Labasa (Group A).

Sunday: 11am Lautoka-Tavua (Group B);

1pm Ba vs. Dreketi (Group A); 3pm Nadi vs. Suva (Group B); 5pm Rewa vs. Labasa (Group A)
