21 Dogs, Cats Adopted At Spca Fiji Open Day

Twenty-one dogs and cats out of 74 kept by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Fiji were adopted yesterday.
People who came to the SPCA’s Fiji Fun and Open Day at their office in Walu Bay, Suva, adopted the animals.
The event was organised to raise awareness against cruelty to animals.
While the animals were given for free, the new owners had to pay for vaccinations, deworming and desexing, at half price.
The animals that were adopted were fully vaccinated for good health and SPCA Fiji ensured that they were in good hands.
SPCA Fiji executive committee treasurer Reshma Ram said public awareness about what SPCA Fiji was all about was important.
She said they were happy with the adoptions.
