FACT: Sami Back For Labasa Fiji

The Fiji Football Association is anticipating a fiercely contested 2018 Vodafone Fiji FACT at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori on May 25-27.
The semifinals and final is set for June 1-3.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf confirmed former Fijian national midfield wizard Anand Sami will guide Labasa in the annual event.
Sami was a national hero in the 1970s when he played for Labasa along with his brothers Gopal, Apal and Jagnath.
He coached the Babasiga Lions to their first Courts Inter- District Championship win in 1992 at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori where they beat Nadroga 2-0 in the final.
“Labasa have got Anand Sami to come and coach them,” Yusuf said.
“Rewa has started to find its form and will move into camp soon and Nadi have been preparing very quietly.
“Teams now have extra two weeks to prepare so we could allow Lautoka time to recover and prepare after the OFC Champions League finals.”
Yusuf has also given his assurance to fans that the games would be entertaining.

“We will prepare well to accommodate the fans. Tickets will go on sale at the Nausori Town Council office and Fiji Football office from May 21.
“The semifinals and finals will be on June 1-3 at Ratu Cakobau Park should one southern team qualifies for the final,” he added.
