Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa has regained her lead from SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka in the latest Fiji Sun-Razor opinion poll.

She scored 12 per cent with Mr Rabuka trailing at 11 per cent in the preferred Prime Minister stakes.

National Federation Party leader Biman Prasad retains his fourth place at eight per cent with Fiji Labour Party election team leader Aman Ravindra-Singh at four per cent. Other were five per cent.

Ro Teimumu has quietly been working through her stronghold areas touching base with her grassroot support.  Mr Rabuka, however, has been visible in a number of official engagements here and overseas. Despite his media exposure, he has not been able to capitalise on it to rebuild his fluctuating fortunes.

The Ro Teimumu camp has been working hard to fight off a strong push from Mr Rabuka’s Vanua Levu  home support to show that she cannot be easily displaced or pushed aside.

Mr Rabuka’s biggest challenge before facing Mr Bainimarama is to pull away from Ro Teimumu and show  he is the undisputed party leader.

While there have been unity moves to bring all provisional candidates together, the gap between the Ro Teimumu camp and Mr Rabuka’s camp is widening.

In the deputy Prime Minister choice, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum retains his big lead at 60. NFP president Pio Tikoduadua is at 21 and SODELPA MP Niko Nawaikula is at 19. The results come as no surprise.

In the party stakes, FijiFirst is still the popular choice to win the election at 62 per cent.

SODELPA is at 16 per cent. The big news is that FLP, at seven per cent, has displaced NFP at five per cent, in third place.

Unity Fiji is at three per cent.

1000 people were interviewed for the poll, 500 in the Central Division, 300 in the Western and 200 in the North.
