Kepu, Silo Best Cadets

All Saints Secondary School’s Best Male cadet Kepu Mairata and Best Female cadet Silo Tavatuilagi were happy yesterday after the cadet pass out parade in Labasa.
They both dedicated their achievements to their families.
Kepu Mairata, 18, of Nauluwai in Naitasiri, said he was always aiming to be the Best Male cadet.
“It feels great because I had been planning to be named the Best Male cadet since last year.
“To achieve what I had been aiming for is exciting,” Kepu said.
“I want to become a Police officer and I believe being part of the pass out parade has instilled discipline in me that will be needed for my dream job.”

“I have been taking part in the pass out parade since I was in Year 9 and to be awarded the Best Female cadet feels good.
“My father is a disciplined man because he is a retired soldier and I want to follow his footsteps and this is just the beginning,” Silo said.
“Through the training, the pass out parade has taught me to be proud of the school I attend and who I am. It has boosted my confidence especially in achieving my dreams.”
