All land belonging to the iTaukei is safe.

This was the assurance by the Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs, Josefa Toganivalu to delegates at the Bua Provincial Meeting at Naulumatua House, Nabouwalu, yesterday.

“Lands that belong to the iTaukei are all safe. There are a lot of rumours going around in regards to iTaukei land, but let me assure you today that it is safe,” Mr Toganivalu said.

“The Ministry of iTaukei Affairs hopes that we will protect the land and those who are present today are good leaders who will lead the people.”

Mr Togaivalu said good leaders were needed to know the way and to show the way.

“We are going through a time where changes are taking place and you will see that there are some changes in the iTaukei Affairs Ministry, which is to make work easier for you,” he said.

“If we want to see the iTaukei prosper then we need good governance, which will lead to prosperity.”

The Bua Provincial Council meeting ends today.
