The Samson Lee Bridal Boutique is now open for business!

It’s the second boutique opened by Samson Lee or simply Samson, a well-known fashion designer and stylist in the local fashion industry.

Samson Lee will show exclusively at Bottega Gold Fijian Fashion Festival 2018 in the Legendary Category. The festival is scheduled from June 1 to 2 at the Grand Pacific Hotel, Suva.

“The curated shop is intended to dress you for your wedding day and all of the bridal events surrounding it–from engagement fetes to bachelorette weekends, rehearsal dinners, post-wedding brunches and all the fun festivities in between,” Samson said.

Looking for head-to-toe styling? Samson’s bridal boutique is conveniently located one door down from his current boutique on Butt Street in Suva’s Central Business District.

Brides from far and wide now have a place to shop for everything wedding related.

From sequin gowns to the more traditional pearl and shell covered masi outfits; the Samson Lee selection also includes incredible accessories–killer shoes, garter belts, veils, bouquets and jewellery are a must-browse.

In fact, the only thing the bridal boutique does not stock is a selection of grooms.

“At Samson Lee Brides, our main value proposition is that we understand that planning a wedding can be stressful and finding the perfect gown is key,” Samson said.

“After all, your dress sets the tone for the entire event, whether it’s a grand ballroom affair or a casual beach celebration- so it can feel like there’s a lot of pressure to get it absolutely perfect.

“Plus, the emerging trend of brides wearing multiple dresses, a more traditional “masi” one for the ceremony and a contemporary one for the reception doubles the task of shopping.

“It may also feel like there’s a whole new language of fabric to decode — tulle, A-line, fit and flare, organza and lace.

“And what happens if the gown in your heart does not match the reflection in the mirror? Never fear, Samson Lee is here to make sense of it all for you- with honest advice and realistic solutions.”

About Samson Lee

Fashion has always been Samson’s first love, however, his parents lovingly declared that in order to pursue his dreams in textile and design he would have to first gain a “solid qualification”.

Samson acquiesced and to his parent’s absolute glee, he attained a bachelor’s degree in social work from the prestigious Brigham Young University (BYU) in Hawaii.

Looking back, Samson concedes that while it did not feel like it at the time, gaining a higher qualification has helped him run his flourishing business today.

Upon graduation Samson returned to work in Fiji and used what little capital he could accumulate to purchase fabric, paint and set up a basic fitting area in his home garage.

Samson first launched his label in 2015 on little more than a shoe string budget, a hope and a prayer- three years on, his maiden print Kesakesa much like the designer, still stands out in a crowd today.

Samson has since added four new prints to his design portfolio, namely Coral, Ika, Lase and Vanua. His new print “Moana” will be launched at the 2018 Fiji Fashion Festival.

For the fashion novice, to showcase a collection at this prestigious event is by invitation only. The introduction of the new bridal shop sees the Samson Lee brand come full circle since its inception to the Fiji fashion scene in 2015. Samson’s first bridal project was for Mere Loga, where he designed both the bridal gown as well as outfits for the entire wedding party. Once pictures of the wedding party hit Facebook, orders began to roll in. Bridal wear was Samson’s initial launching pad into the Fiji fashion industry.

When choosing the right bridal ensemble, the choices can seem overwhelming.

Make an appointment, pop into the boutique for the undivided attention of Samson Lee himself. Find the gown of your dreams — the one you’ll love today, on the big day, and in 30 years from now when you look back at your wedding photos.
