I aim to be a Flying Fijian at the 2019 Rugby World Cup: Mosese Voka

Seeing the Webb –Ellis Cup close up for the first time has inspired Mosese Voka to be part of the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians team to the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

Rugby’s greatest prize – the Webb Ellis Cup – is in Fiji as part of the Rugby World Cup 2019 Trophy Tour.

The captain of the Namosi team in the Skipper Cup Premiership competition was among those who welcomed the silverware at Rugby House in Suva yesterday.

“To see the Webb-Ellis Cup for the first time has been a great boost,”Voka said.

“I aim to be a Flying Fijian at the 2019 RWC in Japan.

“Just being close to the Cup has really inspired me to try and get a spot in the RWC squad.”

Voka made his debut for the Flying Fijians in June 2016 against Italy in Suva.

The 33- year- old was part of the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua team that reached the semifinal during the Australian National Rugby Championship last year.

Voka also captained the Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors side that defended the World Rugby Pacific Challenge earlier this year.

All the achievements in the past two years has fired up Vokato represent Fiji in his first Rugby World Cup.

“That’s the ultimate target,”Voka said.
